Running scripts: On-error policy
Set on the project, and overridable per run from the command bar.
Set on the project, and overridable per run from the command bar. Four policies, an escalation ladder over the runner's own nesting:
| Policy | On a failed batch |
|---|---|
| Continue | Log it; run the next batch on the same database |
| Skip script | Abandon the rest of this script on this database; go on to the next script |
| Stop target | Stop this database; the others carry on |
| Stop all | Abort the whole run, every database |
Plus each script decides, which reads the policy from each script's own row in the Project pane. A script with none set under that mode is a pre-flight failure — guessing here would run the wrong policy against a production database without anybody having decided it.
The default is stop target.
