Download
Grab it for Windows (.NET 10). Sign in once when it opens, creating your account if you are new, and your license is ready. Free to download, free for personal use, no credit card required.
Already installed it?
Open SQL Multicast and choose Sign in. It shows a short code and sends you to this site to approve it - sign in here with the account you registered, and the app picks up from there. No account yet? Register free first.
A heads-up, so there are no surprises
These builds are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will warn you the first time you run the installer on a machine. That is expected. The Microsoft Store release will be signed; this beta channel is not, because a certificate bought for a channel being retired is spend on the wrong thing.
The command line (sqlmc)
The installer above includes sqlmc, the command line and MCP server, and puts it on
your PATH. The Microsoft Store release is the desktop app only, so if you installed
from the Store, or want the command line on a build agent, download it on its own:
Extract it anywhere and add that folder to your PATH. It needs the .NET 10 Desktop
Runtime. It does not update itself, so download a newer one when the app updates, and it keeps
its own settings, so it does not see what the Store app has saved: point it at a workspace with
--workspace and pass passwords as SQLMC_SECRET_<REF> environment
variables.
Updates
The app checks for updates itself and stages them in the background. A downloaded update shows as a Restart to update button in the title bar; nothing is forced, and nothing interrupts a run in progress.
Air-gapped machines
A machine with no route out is licensed with a signed file rather than a sign-in. See pricing, or ask us.
