What this is
sqlmc mcp exposes SQL Multicast's engine to an agent over the Model Context Protocol.
sqlmc mcp exposes SQL Multicast's engine to an agent over the Model Context Protocol. It is the
third face over one implementation: the tools call the same operations layer as the desktop app's
editor and the sqlmc verbs. An agent gets the same answers a person does, and the same refusals.
What an agent can usefully do with it today:
- Understand a real schema while writing T-SQL — actual table and column names from an actual database, rather than guessing from the text in front of it.
- Find out what differs across an estate, and get that difference attached to the completion items it is about.
What it deliberately cannot do yet: run anything. There is no tool that executes SQL. That is §8, and it is not built.
